New Video About Restorative Justice at LPYS
LPYS implements Restorative Justice and Diversion programs within the Durango 9-R School District. The foundation of Restorative Justice concepts comes from Native American tribes and is focused on the idea that you are innocent until proven guilty. Students can tell their stories and take action to correct the harm they have done. Students are less likely to enter the criminal justice system and it disrupts the school-to-prison pipeline.
